Will you Survive

                      Survival

I was sitting in the kitchen one morning looking at several pill containers I’ve got a bunch of these, and wondered what to do with them. They weren’t big enough for screws, but they would hold quarters just fine. You could get $7.50 in them. Then I looked at some stick matches. Yep, you could put a bunch in one of these, and they are water proof. Well, you know what the Boy Scouts say, ………. Be Prepared ….. . Being the good Eagle Scout that I am, I had the perfect match container. I then got to thinking about being prepared for a major catastrophe. So I got out my little camping bag, and began to look….. You see, I have this little bag that I keep all my small camping things in. Here it is, and I’ll show you what it contains.
After securing my bag, I felt pretty good. Well, at least for a few minuets. I went too my lap top, and googled survival. Do you know how many web sites talk about some form of survival????? Hundreds, maybe thousands. I started to look over some of them, and knew that according to these guys, I’ll never make it. Actually it was quite depressing. If half the stuff these guys talked about happened, I don’t know who would make it. Now don’t get me wrong, we need to be prepared for emergencies, but “oh my goodness”.
Any idea what the scriptures say about survival, or being prepared? What do you say we take a look……..

Mat 24:15  “So when you see the ‘abomination that lays waste, spoken of by Dani’el the prophet, set up in the set-apart place” – he who reads, let him understand.
Mat 24:16  “then let those who are in Yehudah flee to the mountains.
Mat 24:17  “Let him who is on the house-top not come down to take whatever out of his house.
Mat 24:18  “And let him who is in the field not turn back to get his garments.
Mat 24:19  “And woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing children in those days!
Mat 24:20  “And pray that your flight does not take place in winter or on the Sabbath.
Mat 24:21  “For then there shall be great distress, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.
Mat 24:22  “And if those days were not shortened, no flesh would be saved, but for the sake of the chosen ones those days shall be shortened.

From the looks of things, this is a BIG natural disaster. So what is Messiah talking about, and what is it we should do?

Mat 24:23  “If anyone then says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or ‘There!’ do not
believe.
Mat 24:24  “For false messiahs and false prophets shall arise, and they shall show great
signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the chosen ones.
Mat 24:25  “See, I have forewarned you.

Right here, it says that YAHUSHUA has forewarned us……….. what is that warning.

Mat 24:26  “So if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He
is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe.
Mat 24:27  “For as the lightning comes from the east and shines to the west, so also shall
the coming of the Son of Adam be.
Mat 24:28  “For wherever the dead body is, there the eagles shall be gathered together.

Now I am really confused. What is meant by the verse ”For wherever the dead body is, there the eagles shall be gathered together.”

Mat 24:29  “And immediately after the distress of those days the sun shall be darkened,
and the moon shall not give its light, and the stars shall fall from the heaven, and the
powers of the heavens shall be shaken.
Mat 24:30  “And then the sign of the Son of Aḏam shall appear in the heaven, and then
all the tribes of the earth shall mourn, and they shall see the Son of Aḏam coming on the
clouds of the heaven with power and much esteem.

We know that these verses are talking about the end times…… the return of
Our Messiah….. there are some very obvious signs that are given to us, lets see
what they maybe.

Mat 24:31  “And He shall send His messengers with a great sound of a trumpet, and they
shall gather together His chosen ones from the four winds, from one end of the heavens
to the other.
Mat 24:32  “And learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already
become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that the summer is near.
Mat 24:33  “So you also, when you see all these, know that He is near, at the doors.
Mat 24:34  “Truly, I say to you, this generation shall by no means pass away until all
this takes place.
Mat 24:35  “The heaven and the earth shall pass away, but My words shall by no means
pass away.
Mat 24:36  “But concerning that day and the hour no one knows, not even the messengers
of the heavens, but My Father only.
Mat 24:37  “And as the days of Noaḥ, so also shall the coming of the Son of Adam be.
Mat 24:38  “For as they were in the days before the flood, eating and drinking,
marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noaḥ entered into the ark,
Mat 24:39  and they did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also shall the coming of the Son of Adam be.

Well, so much for my waterproof matches……… LOL    Lets see what else it says.

Mat 24:40  “Then two shall be in the field, the one is taken and the one is left.
Mat 24:41  “Two shall be grinding at the mill, one is taken and one is left.
Mat 24:42  “Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Master is coming.
Mat 24:43  “And know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the
thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into.
Mat 24:44  “Because of this, be ready too, for the Son of Aḏam is coming at an hour
when you do not expect Him.
Mat 24:45  “Who then is a trustworthy and wise servant, whom his master set over his
household, to give them food in season?
Mat 24:46  “Blessed is that servant whom his master, having come, shall find so doing.
Mat 24:47  “Truly, I say to you that he shall set him over all his possessions.
Mat 24:48  “But if that evil servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying his coming,’
Mat 24:49  and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the
drunkards,
Mat 24:50  the master of that servant shall come on a day when he does not expect it,
and at an hour he does not know,
Mat 24:51  and shall cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites –
there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Well, do you think you will survive this? Just how ready are you for the return
of our Messiah? Are you caught up in the ways of the world? Are you worried
about the New World Order? The Buildabergs? Drones? FEMA Camps? We
could get all tied up in knots about this, but what good would it do. Who do we
belong to, and what does HE want us to be like. Let’s start out in the
beginning.

Gen 3:19  “By the sweat of your face you are to eat bread until you return to the
ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are, and to dust you return.”
Ecc 3:20  All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.
Heb 9:27  And as it awaits men to die once, and after this the judgment,

Here are 3 good verses that assure us of our fate. The cold hard reality of this is that we were born, and we will die. It is what we do between these two  appointed time that define who we are. Now, if we are to “survive” in this world, what should we know, and how should we act!

Gen 1:26  And Elohim said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness,
and let them rule over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavens, and over the
livestock, and over all the earth and over all the creeping creatures that creep on the
earth.”
Gen 1:27  And Elohim created the man in His image, in the image of Elohim He created
him – male and female He created them.
Gen 1:28  And Elohim blessed them, and Elohim said to them, “Bear fruit and increase, and fill the earth and subdue it, and rule over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavens, and over all creatures moving on the earth.”

This is where it all started. YAHWEH made us, and gave us dominion over all the earth………. Into the garden they went, and then did what they shouldn’t. They did what YAHWEH said not to……. This was the outcome.

Gen 3:15  “And I put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her
Seed1. He shall crush your head, and you shall crush His heel.” (Footnote: 1First promise
of the Messiah.)
Gen 3:16  To the woman He said, “I greatly increase your sorrow and your conception –
bring forth children in pain. And your desire is for your husband, and he does rule over
you.”
Gen 3:17  And to the man He said, “Because you have listened to the voice of your wife,
and have eaten of the tree of which I commanded you, saying, ‘Do not eat of it’: “Cursed is
the ground because of you, in toil you are to eat of it all the days of your life,
Gen 3:18  and the ground shall bring forth thorns and thistles for you, and you shall eat
the plants of the field.
Gen 3:19  “By the sweat of your face you are to eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are, and to dust you return.”

Well, now we know why it is kinda tough to live…… a curse. However, YAHWEH still loved us, and wanted the best for us. He then promised us a life span.

Gen 6:3  And יהוה said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever in his going astray. He is flesh, and his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.”Then man turned to his own ways…….
Gen 6:5  And יהוה saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every
inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
Gen 6:6  And יהוה was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in
His heart.
Gen 6:7  And יהוה said, “I am going to wipe off man whom I have created from the face
Of the earth, both man and beast, creeping creature and birds of the heavens, for I am
sorry that I have made them.”
Gen 6:8  But Noaḥ found favor in the eyes of יהוה.
Gen 6:22  And Noaḥ did according to all that Elohim commanded him, so he did.
Gen 8:21  And יהוה smelled a soothing fragrance, and יהוה said in His heart, “Never again
shall I curse the ground because of man, although the inclination of man’s heart is evil
from his youth, and never again smite all living creatures, as I have done,
Gen 8:22  as long as the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and
winter and summer, and day and night shall not cease.”
Gen 9:8  And Elohim spoke to Noaḥ and to his sons with him, saying,
Gen 9:9  “And I, see, I establish My covenant with you and with your seed after you,
Gen 9:10  and with every living creature that is with you: of the birds, of the cattle, and
of every beast of the earth with you, of all that go out of the ark, every beast of the
earth.
Gen 9:11  “And I shall establish My covenant with you, and never again is all flesh cut
off by the waters of the flood, and never again is there a flood to destroy the earth.”

Thank you Noah………. We owe a debt of gratitude to your faithfulness…….
Lets jump ahead to Abraham.

Gen 12:1  And יהוה said to Aḇram, “Go yourself out of your land, from your relatives and
from your father’s house, to a land which I show you.
Gen 12:2  “And I shall make you a great nation, and bless you and make your name great,
and you shall be a blessing!
Gen 12:3  “And I shall bless those who bless you, and curse him who curses you. And in
you all the clans of the earth shall be blessed.”

As we see, YAHWEH’S hand is upon His people. Now in Abraham, a promise is made.

Gen 13:14  And after Lot had separated from him, יהוה said to Aḇram, “Now lift up your
eyes and look from the place where you are, northward and southward and eastward and
westward,
Gen 13:15  for all the land which you see I shall give to you and your seed forever.
Gen 13:16  “And I shall make your seed as the dust of the earth, so that, if a man could
count the dust of the earth, then your seed also could be counted.
Gen 13:17  “Arise, walk in the land through its length and its width, for I give it to you.”
Then YAHWEH made a covenant with Abraham.
Gen 17:1  And it came to be when Aḇram was ninety-nine years old, that יהוה appeared
to Aḇram and said to him, “I am Ěl Shaddai – walk before Me and be perfect1. Footnote:
1Messiah gives the same command in Mt. 5:48.
Gen 17:2  “And I give My covenant between Me and you, and shall greatly increase you.”
Gen 17:3  And Aḇram fell on his face, and Elohim spoke with him, saying,
Gen 17:4  “As for Me, look, My covenant is with you, and you shall become a father of
many nations.
Gen 17:5  “And no longer is your name called Aḇram, but your name shall be Aḇraham,
because I shall make you a father of many nations.
Gen 17:6  “And I shall make you bear fruit exceedingly, and make nations of you, and
sovereigns shall come from you.
Gen 17:7  “And I shall establish My covenant between Me and you and your seed after
you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be Elohim to you and your seed
after you.
Gen 17:8  “And I shall give to you and your seed after you the land of your sojournings,
all the land of Kenaʽan, as an everlasting possession. And I shall be their Elohim.”
Gen 17:9  And Elohim said to Aḇraham, “As for you, guard My covenant, you and your
seed after you throughout their generations.
Gen 17:10  “This is My covenant which you guard between Me and you, and your seed after you: Every male child among you is to be circumcised.
Ok, here is the sign…. A covenant that YAHWEH’S people will carry on for all generations. How wonderful that we can YAHWEH chose to make us different…….
Gen 22:15  And the Messenger of יהוה called to Aḇraham a second time from the
heavens,
Gen 22:16  and said, “By Myself I have sworn, declares יהוה, because you have done this,
and have not withheld your son, your only son,
Gen 22:17  that I shall certainly bless you, and I shall certainly increase your seed as
the stars of the heavens and as the sand which is on the seashore, and let your seed
possess the gate of their enemies.
Gen 22:18  “And in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.”

Abraham had his blessing renewed at this time. But understand that it was because of his OBEDIENCE !!!!!   As time goes on, lets see what was said to Abraham's son, Isaac.

Gen 26:2  And יהוה appeared to him and said, “Do not go down to Mitsrayim, live in the
land which I command you.
Gen 26:3  “Sojourn in this land. And I shall be with you and bless you, for I give all
these lands to you and your seed. And I shall establish the oath which I swore to
Aḇraham your father.
Gen 26:4  “And I shall increase your seed like the stars of the heavens, and I shall give
all these lands to your seed. And in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed,
Gen 26:5  because Aḇraham obeyed My voice and guarded My Charge: My commands, My laws, and My Torot.

Here we see that Yahweh is continuing the covenant, and blessing to Isaac.
Then on to Jacob. We know the story of Isaac blessing Jacob, actually in
deceit. But this is what YAHWEH said to Jacob.

Gen 28:12  And he dreamed and saw a ladder set up on the earth, and its top reached to
the heavens, and saw messengers of Elohim going up and coming down on it.
Gen 28:13  And see, יהוה stood above it and said, “I am יהוה Elohim of Aḇraham your
father and the Elohim of Yitsḥaq. The land on which you are lying, I give it to you and
your seed.
Gen 28:14  “And your seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and you shall break forth
to the west and to the east, to the north and the south. And all the clans of the earth shall
be blessed in you and in your seed.
Gen 28:15  “And see, I am with you and shall guard you wherever you go, and shall bring you back to this land. For I am not going to leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.”

This is a great promise…… “I am with you and shall guard you wherever you go, and shall bring you back to this land. For I am not going to leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.”  What a promise……. And He Kept it. Now to move ahead, Jacobs family ends up in Egypt due to a famine in Cannon. Joseph, Jacobs son, saves the day, but is forgotten. There were about 70 who entered Egypt, and 400 years later there are around 4 million. Pharaoh is worried they will over take them, puts them in bondage. And they cry out for a deliver…….. talk about survival…….. they were definitely in survivor mode. So YAHWEH raised up a deliver, Moses. Moses lead the people out of Egypt, after some miraculous things, and brought them to the Mountain…….. Sinai. There YAHWEH gave the 10 suggestions………. LOL. The 10 Commandments. He also gave us the Torah, and in it some very good commands.

Exo 19:3  And Mosheh went up to Elohim, and יהוה called to him from the mountain,
saying, “This is what you are to say to the house of Yaʽaqoḇ, and declare to the children
of Yisra’ĕl:
Exo 19:4  ‘You have seen what I did to the Mitsrites, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings
and brought you to Myself.
Exo 19:5  ‘And now, if you diligently obey My voice, and shall guard My covenant, then
you shall be My treasured possession above all the peoples – for all the earth is Mine –

I could stop here. Verse 5 of Chapter 19 of the book of Exodus says it all…….
“if you diligently obey My voice, and shall guard my Covenant, then you shall
be My treasured possession above all the peoples.” This is the “Survivors’
Creed.” But it doesn’t stop here.

Deu 6:1  “And this is the command, the laws and right-rulings which יהוה your Elohim has
commanded, to teach you to do in the land which you are passing over to possess,
Deu 6:2  so that you fear יהוה your Elohim, to guard all His laws and His commands which
I command you, you and your son and your grandson, all the days of your life, and that
your days be prolonged.
Deu 6:3  “And you shall hear, O Yisra’ĕl, and shall guard to do, that it might be well with
you, and that you increase greatly as יהוה Elohim of your fathers has spoken to you, in a
land flowing with milk and honey.
Deu 6:4  “Hear, O Yisra’ĕl: יהוה our Elohim, יהוה is one!
Deu 6:5  “And you shall love יהוה your Elohim with all your heart, and with all your being,
and with all your might.
Deu 6:6  “And these Words which I am commanding you today shall be in your heart,
Deu 6:7  and you shall impress them upon your children, and shall speak of them when you
sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise
up,
Deu 6:8  and shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets
between your eyes.
Deu 6:9  “And you shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.
Deu 6:10  “And it shall be, when יהוה your Elohim brings you into the land of which He
swore to your fathers, to Aḇraham, to Yitsḥaq, and to Yaʽaqoḇ, to give you great and good
cities which you did not build,
Deu 6:11  and houses filled with all kinds of goods, which you did not fill, and wells dug
which you did not dig, vineyards and olive trees which you did not plant, and you shall eat
and be satisfied –
Deu 6:12  be on guard, lest you forget יהוה who brought you out of the land of
Mitsrayim, from the house of bondage.
Deu 6:13  “Fear יהוה your Elohim and serve Him, and swear by His Name.
Deu 6:14  “Do not go after other mighty ones, the mighty ones of the peoples who are all
around you,
Deu 6:15  for יהוה your Elohim is a jealous Ěl in your midst, lest the displeasure of יהוה
your Elohim burn against you, then He shall destroy you from the face of the earth.
Deu 6:16  “Do not try יהוה your Elohim as you tried Him in Massah.
Deu 6:17  “Diligently guard the commands of יהוה your Elohim, and His witnesses, and His
laws which He has commanded you.
Deu 6:18  “And you shall do what is right and good in the eyes of יהוה, that it might be
well with you, and you shall go in and possess the good land of which יהוה swore to your
fathers,

You can’t get buy these promises. If in fact that YAHWEH is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow, we have to take these at their face value. If you want to survive this world, just keep all the command of Abba YAHWEH……….  If this isn’t good enough for you, let’s see what YAHUSHUA  had to say.

Mat 6:24  “No one is able to serve two masters, for either he shall hate the one and love
the other, or else he shall cleave to the one and despise the other. You are not able to
serve Elohim and mammon.
Mat 6:25  “Because of this I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you shall eat
or drink, or about your body, what you shall put on. Is not life more than the food and
the body more than the clothing?
Mat 6:26  “Look at the birds of the heaven, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather
into storehouses, yet your heavenly Father does feed them. Are you not worth more than
they?
Mat 6:27  “And which of you by worrying is able to add one cubit to his life’s span?
Mat 6:28  “So why do you worry about clothing? Note well the lilies of the field, how
they grow. They neither toil nor spin,
Mat 6:29  and I say to you that even Shelomoh in all his esteem was not dressed like one
of these.
Mat 6:30  “But if Elohim so clothes the grass of the field, which exists today, and
tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, how much more you, O you of little belief?
Mat 6:31  “Do not worry then, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or
‘What shall we wear?’
Mat 6:32  “For all these the gentiles seek for. And your heavenly Father knows that you
need all these.
Mat 6:33  “But seek first the reign of Elohim, and His righteousness, and all these
matters shall be added to you.
Mat 6:34  “Do not, then, worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow shall have its own worries. Each day has enough evil of itself.

1Jn 5:4  because everyone having been born of Elohim overcomes the world. And this is the overcoming that has overcome the world: our belief.

Rev 12:11  “And they overcame him because of the Blood of the Lamb, and because of the Word of their witness, and they did not love their lives to the death.

So you want to be a survivor…….. Keep the Words that you have just heard. Don’t take my word for it, Read it for yourself. If your heart is truly set on YAHWEH, and the words He spoke, and the words of His Son, the YAHUSHUAH. You will survive. No matter what Situation you find yourself in, if you trust in HIM, you will be a survivor. I leave you with this.

Eze 20:33  “As I live,” declares the Master יהוה, “do not I, with a mighty hand, with an outstretched arm, and with wrath poured out, reign over you?
Eze 20:34  “And I shall bring you out from the peoples and gather you out of the lands where you are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with wrath poured out.
Eze 20:35  “And I shall bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and shall enter into judgment with you face to face there.
Eze 20:36  “As I entered into judgment with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Mitsrayim, so I shall enter into judgment with you,” declares the Master יהוה.
Eze 20:37  “And I shall make you pass under the rod, and shall bring you into the bond of the covenant,
Eze 20:38  and purge the rebels from among you, and those who transgress against Me. From the land where they sojourn I bring them out, but they shall not come into the land of Yisra’ĕl. And you shall know that I am יהוה.
